Ms. Tarrant was an amazing form tutor at Abbey Grange and I was sorry to see her leave.

Ted has told Dave and I that sadly Cindy has given up the fight and has died.
We are terribly sorry.
I am never sure whether it is better for the family and loved ones when death comes suddenly, unexpectedly or when it comes as a final relief from pain. Perhaps the truth is that they are both equally devastating.

(Jennifer, born to Jane Edwards and Peter Ashton) and learnt of the end of Cindy's long struggle. We were very much aware of the love which holds families together, and the quiet yet central role of the mother.
We remembered Cindy's courage and the way she faced her illness: her clear thought, her preparedness, and her determination to make the transition, and the acceptance, as easy as possible for you and the children. But your loss is enormous, and irreparable.

We've been thinking often of you,
Cindy and the family over these last difficult months. We were very sad that, despite all the difficult treatment which Cindy so bravely underwent, the cancer could not be defeated.
On the occasions when we saw you all over the last two years or so, we were full of admiration + respect for the cheerful + positive way
Cindy continued to live her life and I'm sure she was an inspiration to you all. Now, at least her suffering is at an end.

Just after I was born an aunt of mine died at 28 from T.B. Although
I didn't know her, she too was an inspirational character and I value this inscription in the little

Church where her father was Vicar –
She being made perfect in a short time
Fulfilled a long life with gladness.

I was so sorry to hear the news of Cindy's death. Although I knew it was not unexpected, I hoped it was news I'd never hear. And though it may have been inevitable, it does not diminish the event when it eventually occurs.

I cannot claim to have known Cindy well, but it was always a pleasure to meet her; she was so easy-going and comfortable to be with. It was clear to me that she was a very special person, a bright spark in an often gloomy world.
It is encouraging to think that some of that brightness will live on in your family.
